This policy describes how Speech Counter ("the app") handles information. It applies to the app on the web and on iOS/Android.
None of the information you enter in Speech Counter is collected by us or sent anywhere. Everything you type or tap - target names, tallies, and totals - is stored only in your browser's or device's local storage, on your own device. We do not operate a server that receives, stores, or has access to this data.
The app does not use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services, and does not ask for your name, email, or any other personal information.
The app loads its typeface (Inter) from Google Fonts. Loading any web font causes your device to make a request to Google's servers, which - like any web request - discloses your IP address to Google. We don't control what Google does with that request; see Google's Privacy Policy for details. No other third-party service is used by the app today.
Your data stays on your device until you remove it yourself - by clearing rows in the app, clearing your browser's site data, or uninstalling the app. Since we never receive a copy, there is nothing on our end to delete.
Speech Counter is intended for use by speech-language professionals, caregivers, and educators tracking someone else's practice sessions. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, regardless of age, since the app does not collect information at all.
We may update this policy as the app changes - for example, if we introduce optional accounts or paid features in the future. If that happens, this page will be updated to describe what information is collected and how it's used, and the "last updated" date above will change accordingly.
